Who is the Bladez Fitness Master Cycle PTS68 for?
With a heavy (40lb) fly wheel, near silent belt drive and easily adjustable seat and handlebars, this bike seems to do it all. In addition to the normal features you would find on an indoor training bike there is also a computer monitor, which we will look at later.
In the saddle,
No one expects an exercise bike to be comfortable, and the saddle is usually deigned to be overly padded. For me I prefer the padded saddle (less to get in the way of the legs). With a good height adjustment its easy to find a comfortable work out position.
If you prefer to have more padding, you could opt for proper cycling shorts, with chamois padding for real luxury or a simple seat cover. Seat covers are relatively in expensive and are available from amazon at a good price (usually around $20).
The mechanics of the ride
A balanced flywheel is the most important element of a good spin bike. This one ships with a huge 40lb fly wheel that is reported to be very good. Its balanced and turns quietly on the belt drive.
With a computer rarely found on bikes its great to find one fitted to the Master Cycle.
- This one shows:
- Calories Burned
- Pulse (requires a heart rate monitor strap)
To move the bike, simply pull the handle bars and tilt the bike up on to the two wheels at the front of the bike. When the bike is balanced you will find it easy to move the 105lb bike in and out of a store cupboard.
Does it come with a warranty?
Yes: All Bladez Bikes are shipped with a 5-year frame, 1-year part and 90-day labor warranty.
The bike measures: 46 x 43 x 10 inches
A good solid: 105 lbs

The computer, despite its functions is a little basic. It does not allow weight and height to be entered, so it gives just an approximate idea of calories burned. However for tracking between workouts it provides a very useful guide.
